Christine Hansen-Chad has been appointed the president of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers’ Association. The Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) is a non-profit voluntary legal association with a mandate to protect rights, ensure access to the courts, and maintain the highest of standards in legal education.

We are proud to announce that Kelsey Kreklewich has successfully passed the CPLED course. She has a couple months left in her articling year before she becomes a lawyer. After that, Kelsey will maintain a general practice at OWZW.

The partnership of OWZW is pleased to announce that Virgil Thomson and Lindsay Oliver have become the firm’s newest partners, effective January 1, 2018. Virgil joined OWZW in 2010 and his practice focuses mainly on litigation, family law and employment law. Lindsay also joined OWZW in 2010 and currently her practice spans a broad range of debtor/creditor and insolvency law as well as litigation and wills, estates and trusts.

OWZW congratulates Virgil and Lindsay on their achievement and welcomes them both into the partnership.

After more than 40 years of practice, Wilson Olive has retired effective June 30, 2017.

Wilson was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1972 and is one of the founders of Olive Waller Zinkhan & Waller LLP, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2017.

Wilson practised with the Firm’s business group and specialized in complex commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings.
