Pat was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1988 and joined the OWZW partnership in 1993. Throughout her accomplished career Pat practiced with the firm’s Credit Union, Employment, Real Estate and Debt Recovery & Insolvency Law teams. Her practice primarily focussed on credit unions and SaskCentral, which work included drafting periodic Lending Information Bulletins for distribution throughout the Saskatchewan credit union system and authoring both the Credit Union Lending Security Guide and the Credit Union Account Opening and Deposit Documentation Manual.
Pat has been a valued partner and member of OWZW Lawyers for many years, and we wish her the best!
OWZW is excited to announce that both Ronald Jalmanzar and Emily Erhardt have successfully completed their articles and been called to the Bar in Saskatchewan. Both Ron and Emily will continue to maintain general practices with OWZW.
One of our senior partners, Perry D. Erhardt, Q.C., acts as pro bono counsel advising the RIIS (Regina Indian Industrial School) Commemorative Association Inc., and recently helped them with a land transfer from the federal government and RCMP to ensure that the sacred land holding the bodies of dozens of Indigenous children would remain in the care of the RIIS Commemorative Association. The cemetery lands were previously designated as heritage properties. The land transfer to RIIS represents an important step in the path to reconciliation, and ensures that the memories of the children and the impact of the industrial school will not be forgotten. Our firm is honoured to have played a small part in these events, and we are committed to the journey toward reconciliation.
